TWO WILDLY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVEs

"Two Wildly Different Perspectives" is a song by Father John Misty that presents different viewpoints in modern politics. I chose to create style frames for a music video to this song for a class project. The assignment was to use typography to create a board based on the word "Polarization."

Two Wildly Different Perspectives is a song that focuses on the growing polarization within United States politics. As time goes on, the sides get farther apart and, in turn, farther from solving any real issues. For this project, I decided to focus on the idea of sides and the lines that we draw between them, both literally and metaphorically. I used angled typography, linework, and a contrasting color scheme to highlight the drastically different positions within the system. Additionally, I added an aesthetic reminiscent of anaglyph glitch, to imply the current political status: unproductive and dysfunctional.
