FUsE.TV

As part of my Concepts & Storyboarding class, we were asked to create two different design boards for two different short bumpers based on a television channel's current branding. I chose Fuse.tv because of their emphasis on music and the culture behind it, as well as the variety presented within their brand. Because of Fuse's shows, web series', and aesthetic, I decided to use symbols and personalities from two different genres of music to represent the feeling and culture of each genre.

The first board opens with a Boombox blaring music while liquid particles move around it. The speakers morph into one of the most iconic faces in modern music, ASAP Rocky, before a final morph into an alteration of the "Fuse" logo, where a chain has been added to indicate the logo as a part of a necklace. This board is a representation of Hip-Hop and rap music shown through items and people that are a part of that culture.

Following a similar formula, the second board opens with a guitar strumming all on its own. The instrument morphs into the face of Dave Grohl, the ex-drummer of Nirvana and current frontman of the Foo Fighters. Grohl sings into the microphone in front of him, signaling the last morph into the "Fuse" logo being suspended by broken guitar strings. Again, these frames show a visual representation of rock music, and offer a peek into the culture behind it.
